Trimac, Red Devil, Jag, Argentea, Synsipilium, Texas, Black Nasty.

Sounds like an awesome setup. I for one would include the female festae for colour. Im not sure if she'd be attacked being less aggressive than most of those fish. IMO Males are quite bland and unattractive.

And ideas for a large plec?

AGh... i would keep the pair.. forget about a community.. imagine a community of FTs!!!!! breed them!!

my 2 cents

I've already bred them. I have about 60+ .50"-.75" fry in a growout tank. I'm was kind of looking for something new. I suppose I've been convinced to keep them for the time being. I'm going to give them my 156 gallon tank. My other idea was to sell them and get a single male Dovii for that tank which may still happen...we'll see how I feel about it as time goes by.

I'm going to order some fish for the 253g from TUIC this week. I was looking at his stock and saw some interesting cichlids. I'll start a new post because I want some feedback on a few.

I mainly just read things on this site and don't write a whole lot as I am trying to learn about the hobby my father got me interested in as a kid. Up until about 2 months ago, I really knew nothing about fish just what kind we kept as a kid and the one's I remembered liking. I began looking at other fish and reading/learning things on this site. Your avatar pic was so stunning in a thread I read. I spent almost a week trying to find a small festae in my area without success. I have kind of overcome my novice status with fishkeeping, but seriously, if you get rid of those fish, you should just give up your tanks too. What are you looking for? More novelty. I think you should never be sold another fish if you give these up! I can't believe your actually thinking about this. Shame on you.

Thanks for posting. I appreciate you telling it how it is...that's what I'm looking for. I'm keeping them for a while.
