Glad I could help!! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have if you are unsure, I am still new and by no means an expert, but at least have some experinece.
When someone said something similar to me it helped give me a little a push towards it. I am so glad I did it, don't know why it took me so long.
I keep my 750L tank as freshwater, small 40L as planted and my 150L as Marine. Its nice to have different set ups to look at.
Probably still a long while off, though when I was interested in saltwater it was the marine betta that I wanted.
Currently tank is filed with freshwater and highly unlikely to not be in a good while.

I find some reef tanks to be very garish and difficult to watch after a while.

The truth is that my 210g indoor/outdoor system was supposed to be salt, but we had an explosion of cichlids that needed water.

I wouldn't have wanted the bright lighting indoors to grow corals, as the big tank is in the TV room.
But the outdoor tank gets modest sunlight and would have supported some types without much artificial light.

They share a sump, so for now it is all or nothing. But I can change that, and this thread has given me inspiration for an outdoor reef tank.
