Ok, im looking at getting ants! Watched vids and read the books on them, they look frickin sweet lol. Im looking at getting a Camponotus herculeanus queen and a starter kit which should be sufficiant for approx 3 years then you just attatch more arena's as the colony grows. 1 question, Should I?

Only thing about this hobby is that there is not much in-depth information but I guess that could be a good thing, finding out for yourself type of thing

Like everything else, if you have done your research on it and you find it interesting and this can keep your interest for a long time then why not?

I used to have a colony when I was 7-8 years old.

just make sure you use the right set up to view what goes on underneath and it'll be interesting

My brother and i kept a colony of fire ants when i was little. I remember feeding them grasshoppers and spiders and table scraps. Cool little things, you should go for it.

No it aint, not here anyway. They mostly come form Germany although there are a few places here in the UK that sell them.
