Those are cool, but I can't find anything about them.

Do you know another name I might be able to find more under? or can you give me a run down?

Their scientific name is Lamprologus Ocellatus AKA Gold Occei's they are a 2" shellie males have a darker purple hue to them with a little black sheen present on their gold color and females are a tad bit smaller and not as bright color as the male..

As for my colony of Occei's they still haven't bred for me so i am assuming they are a bit harder to breed than the common Multifasciatus shell dweller.. At any rate the Occei's are a great shellie to keep.. have fun with them..
 
Umm, does anyone have tanks with live trumpet snails? How is that, do shellies mind the moving ground, or are they more of a pest. I was just thinking of using them to get the left over food and sift the sand to prevent anaerobic(?) air pockets. Is this unnecessary?
