Show Me Your Waterchange Hardwares

Garden hose and faucet adapter for me. I'm thinking of swapping out the hose for something a little bit bigger though. I'm too growing horribly impatient as I get older and sitting around for 10-15min waiting for the tank to drain is becoming too much to bare haha.

Draining is one thing I don't mind. I set it up and do something else. But I can't speed up the water coming from the faucet to refill my tanks :(

How many gallons are your guys removing and refilling? 10mins seem very fast. It takes me 30mins to drain by gravity for 70g and another 30 to refill 70g. I am using a 75f garden hose though.

I use a 1600gph pump attached to a hose feeding outside my window to my garden lol then I use my sink or garden hose to fill it up. When I used to use just my python it would take ages to change out 100 gallons. I have OCD and never leave anything unattended just incase something were to happen.

I changed my bathrooms sink to a fancy faucet and it doesn't have a connector I can use. I just use my garden hose. I know the temperature fluctuation but I been doing this for 6 years and never had any fish go into shock. Water comes out at 72-74 and my tank is at 80 so not a big drop.

my 500gal is going to be autowater change but my 240 is siphon with 1 3/4" sump hose from depot and refill from showerhead. tank is 80 and refilling with 81-82.

I use a 1 1/2" 40' flexable pool hose. I have a pvc end built into a squared off "U". The end that goes into the tank is pre-cut to drain the tank 75% and then stop. I have different ends that friction fit in the end for different depths/% water removed. On the end of the siphon is a screen made of plastic canvas to prevent fish getting sucked. I just run the hose out either the front or back door onto the front or back lawn....start the siphon eith by mouth or shop vac....prefer shop vac.

Drains 130-150g in about 10-15min all siphon...I could put a submerged pump on the end to speed it up but why? Complete water change in 30min.

How expensive are flexible pool hose? I think the key to drain fast is the size of your hose or pump. Do they make any male or female connector to attach a garden hose to a suction pump? I would like to see it if anyone has one.

For my 260G.

Removing Water:
* Connected Python (with 32" vacuum tube) to kitchen sink to vacuum and remove water

* Also, if I want to remove larger volume of water quickly, I connect a garden hose to the green/yellow connector w/PVC (seen in my avatar picture). Basically I use ball joints closing the close loop output to re-route the water flow to opening the ball valve here for water outflow through the hose using the close loop circulation pump (rated ~3100gph on paper). The hose is going out the window next to the tank.

The python would take too long for moving a lot of water.

Adding Water:
* Connected Python to sink

To pump the water out quickly I use an AC110 powerhead.
