Gr8t turtles everyone any else have one they wanna show off???

My Kid's Razorback Musk called Squirtle-don't see them too often in the UK. BTW could I add a small Common Musk to the tank? The common Musk in shops are half the size or less than Squirtle. Would this be safe? He'Shes very palcid-currently shares tank with 4 tiny growout Silver Dollars and doesn't bat an eyelid to them

Yes, you could mix the two species together but they should be a similar size. A smaller turtle can be injured during feeding time or could be bullied. Both species have a powerful bite and can do some pretty serious damage to one another even if it was an accident.

It depends on the indiv. I tried my guy with moveless fish to see if he would bite... Bichirs and plecos. Never bit anything... Had him with Orinos but they picked on him. I was able to get the runt of my Orinos with him and no aggression.

He is now with 4 Spotted Red Hooks and a Shell cleaning Flagtail:D

I would try with slow moving fish first before you add him to the tank, oh also.... you may want to consider if he likes to Bask. My guy dont and I gave him everything to do so... so I took it out and now hes a 100% fish:D

Is everyone afriad they will show up these turtles or r they plain scared to try?

When I first looked at the pic I thought that log was a huge turtle sticking its head out of the water....The box turtles have some of the most beautiful eyes.
