Most people have seen pics of my boy already. I think it's a boy.

Ha i just read a thread where you were suggestioning pearsei to another member...he is a beast. Do you even attempt to control his appetite?

he would be easily 12 inches. have not measured him in a while and i use cm....
also he thinks he is bigger than he is

Also Jaws he mainly eats NLS pellets and peas and every now and then bloodworm. And yeah he eats a heap.
I have a feeding hole cut into the top of my tank (tank is built in) and when i bring the food cup he sits under the hole and opens his mouth and tries to have all the food go straight into his belly.

I have an oscar in there now so they jockey for position at feeding time. The Pearsei is still the boss of the tank for the moment.

Also does anyone else's pearsei do weird loop-de-loops. mine used to swim along the top of the tank then swim down and then back along the bottom upside down...like swim across 10 feet one end to the other, then make a right angle and swim straight down, then another right angle and swim upside down about half way along. very funny to see. i was worried first time i saw him do it.

He stopped doing it, was mainly doing it when he was younger, but does it every now and then.

My guy swimms sideways under dw...cant wait for him to get too big for these things

Grows like a weed. I would compare it to an oscar on growth and appetite...maybe even higher than an oscar.
