Those are spiral CFL in a flood lamp type bulb (built in reflector) so it is higher than 2000K. QUOTE]

2000 kelvin is just the color temp of the bulb

the built in reflector and it being flood shaped doesnt matter in the the color temp of the light its self.

saltwater man.

nice tanks tho

I love your rockmover wrasse...I have one (tribal) tattooed on my arm.

Seeing them in the wild in hawaii is one of the coolest things. They roll up into little balls and just drift in the surf with algae and other flotsam that is just rolling around on the bottom. Super hard to pick out...but when you do you just sit and stare for awhile. I think they are beautiful in both stages, but the juvenile form is what originally drew me to the species.

I understand lighting. By your comment it sounded like you thought those were regular incandescent bulbs (and not CFL) and that was what I was trying to specify.

weatrher compact florsent, or just florsent, the kelvin still stands alone i bellive. it should be marked exact kelvin. being compact florsent light or just florsent the kelvin is the same i bellive. i may be wrong i appolige if im wrong but why would compact florsent kelvin be diffrent?
