808living, did you get a chance to pick up a black aro like you wanted? I seen one at Kalihi pet's, it was about 10" and they are asking $475...

I just set this tank up 2 weeks ago. I'm looking for another large plant and a nice piece of driftwood. I don't want to crowd the tank with decorations. I'm also planning on switching out the silica sand and replacing it with some type of natural river stone.

and pick up this little guy. it was pretty beaten up when i got it.
it looks really banged up to me, are those going to scar or would they heal?

i was thinking of putting sand into my tank first.. my question is, which is better white or black? but i am a bit hesitant because i am not sure if the undergravel filter really works and what if the accumulated waste will just hide under the sand.. that would make my fish's life miserable..
i'm also planning to have a black background for my tank.. i have a 6 inch golden jardini.. what light color is best suited for my aro?
