Show "Tanked"....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Am I the only one who has noticed that, when they go to pick the fish, they'll go into detail on a certain fish...then, that fish never ends up in the tank? Their choices seem a little bland, as well. They'll pick a few unique fish per tank that they build. Then, they have what I think is a default stock they go to in order to stock up the new tank. Tangs, damselfish, angelfish? In nearly every tank they make, those are at least one of the fish they present to most of their clients. What do you guys think?

Yeah, I do think that their choices are very bland. I do feel, however that the mojority of the focus is not on the fish, but rather on the eyesore tacky background. If I had a giant aquarium, 100% of the focus would be on the fish not on a ridiculous stand shaped like a boat, or on a crappy plastic background (yeah, some people would focus on the aquascape, and again, that's their opinion). If I'm going to have a tank, I want to hand-pick everything that goes in the tank, none of this surprise-me nonsense. Also, speaking of "surprises", the tank reveals at the end are so staged, it's cringey.

Yep. The tacky backgrounds kind of kill it for me as well! The surprise factor would kind of go down after seeing that background! Yet, I'd still buy from them...requesting no fish or custom background. Leave that to me, and I'm good:)

watched the first episode last night on Hulu....

horrible retarded show.... who puts fancy goldfish in a tiny unfiltered tank!!!!??????
(talking about the drum set tanks)
all the decorations looked like they came from the bargain barrel at petco/petsmart And the dollar tree. the guys are annoying when they talk and there scripted jokes suck .

so as you may have guessed.. I'm not gonna watch it anymore .

I agree with all this. The dentist shark tank was a bunch of bs as well, why tf did they choose a nurse shark to be in it? And they STILL had the NERVE to tell him to call "if the nurse shark gets too big". The mono sebaes in the tank are too damn small too, expensive feeders... They overstock their tanks as well, especially the freshwater tanks. Shoving like 5 oscars in that tiny volume of water in Dwight Howard's snake tank. They also spread some crap like "Scats are hardy brackish fish that can live in both freshwater and saltwater" and that monos can do so too. And who tf has the bright idea of tossing ALLIGATORS into someones home display tank! I pity those gators, look at the goldfish that are being used as feeders, crap tank crap diet. Fake plastic trash used as decor as well.

Not to defend the show but pretty sure as far as the tacky backgrounds and stands go their just doing what their customers paid for and wanted. Same goes for the stocking for the most part.
