This thread is for tanks you got off craigslist.com. Post what you got and the price, what you had to put into it money wise, and the inhabitants.
First up is a 75 gallon. I got the tank and stand for $100. The tank is looking better every time I clean it. spent $20 in sand, $5 in pots, $30 in filtration, $20 on heating, $50 on lights, $40 on glass top. Total was $265. Houses F1 Citrinellums from Jeff Raps and Cichlid Connection, and a pair of Trimacs.
Next up is a 120 gallon I got for $200. Included was the tank, 2 emperor 400's, 30g sump, and strip light. Built a 2x4 stand for free. Plexiglass tops were $10. Sand was $40. Heaters $40. Total was $290. It houses a RTC and big Oscar.
And last is my 125 gallon that I got in a trade for a 40 breeder plus $150 cash. I had $150 into the breeder. So figure $300 total. It came with a tank, stand, glass tops, AC70, Fluval 405, numerous plants, 4 powerheads. I spent $20 in sand, $40 in heating, $100 in lighting, $25 in more filtration. Total cost was $505. Not bad at all. Tank houses an oscar, 4 peacock bass, 3 geo. altrifons, spotted pim, tire track eel, and a silver arowana.
I showed you mine, now I wanna see yours!
