Cool, recognize it in the pics I posted? :) Just look at the two birthmarks on the dorsal fin. you will see that He didn't have a broken dorsal fin when I gave him away :(

thats a lap in the third pic?

Yeah the third and fourth pic are of an extremely stressed (newly introduced to the tank) lap.

He had to endure a crazy ride through traffic.

Is Guinea the same as Koliba? These were sold as Koliba.

My bad thought it was a Guinea lap cause of it's patterns. My koliba looks very different.

People are still debating if the Koliba is the same as Guinea lap as both fish can be found in the same place.

Here's mine:

Anyone guess the region?

Works for me...

Do captive breed Laps tend to have less defined patterns? I've found ansorgiis that look like her too, just based on her markings toward her tail fin... Maybe that's why?

the patterns are not well define becuase your keeping it on a bare bottom tank. Captive breed lap are the hardiest to show up their patterns compare to wild caught. Red or tan will help to bring the patterns well define. Wild caught lap will sometimes show it's patterns once settles down.

Gotcha.

Some days her patterns are more defined than others... She seems to be showing more green since I added the bigger Sen last week.
