That's a flathead catfish. Not a yellow cat, which is, in most cases, the yellow bullhead. Forgive me if yellow cat is another name for flatheads, but I thought you might need to know you have a catfish that could get up to 6', opposed to a yellow bullhead at 18".:)
 
Thanks for the info but by "yellow cat" I did mean flathead and I do know it will get big. It's going to be released after a while, that's what I do with the cats. Thanks anyway though, good lookin' out.
 
Heres mine. think Im over populated? LOL
they are still young....7" or so. 3 bass and a green sunfish. (3 cats are hiding)

Looks like the sand (look below the pickerel) after a little pickerel "freak-out".

Well, it's nice to know your thinking ahead. Most people don't. Where are you releasing it? Private pond?
