My first ornate was like yours. She mysteriously passed away a few months ago during a waterchange.

Mine was very active for around 2 months, now it constantly hangs out in the back corner as seen in the picture.

I haven't measured him but I would say around the 12 inch mark now. He was smaller than a glass thermometer when I first got him!

Very nice, mine hasn't seen growth quite like that, however his appetite isn't like it first was. When I originally got him he was a pig, constantly gorging himself. Now he might eat a single Massivore pellet, sometimes two.

I bought my Ornate at 6" in November, he's now 9.5".

Really? Any idea what might be causing him to lose appetite? Mine hasn't stopped gorging himself ever since day 1.
