Lovely fish
That Moray is Polyurandon isn't it? I have one they look beautiful. Had Tile years ago and were lighter and more peppery spotting
Yes, it is.
I'm still looking for a good name... i'm thinking about "Nessie" because my other eel in the tank is called "caddy" . But i'm open for any good idea^^
Did you keep your tile in bark or fresh water? I read that they can't be kept in freshwater as adults.

I'm thinking about getting one of this, too.
How are your experiences with this fish?
so far so good, it is certainly the strangest fish i have ever had/seen. it likes to lay perfectly still flat on its side on a huge stump in my tank, or on the sand. it also likes hanging out in the roots from all my emergent plants as well. it's awesome watching it swim when i get lucky enough to see that.

The 2 Tiles I kept about 15 years ago were about 12" maybe a bit bigger and I bought them from a freshwater tank as an impulse they were very white. I read up on them and set a brackish tank up which ended up relatively high salinity. The eels looked a load healthier got that lovely peppery colour eat well and just looked a whole load healhier

My polyurandon is in freshwater as thats what they are

I used to have a lot of “rare” fish when I did natives. I wish I took pictures before I had to destroy them all. We’re home to the northern snake head , found in Maryland first. So they banned keeping natives.

How long do you have your polyurandon and how large is it?
I've read very differnt things about their size expectations from 25" to 60".
