I just booked two 8 hour sessions to get my arowana leg piece started, more time may be needed as we go and determine the level of detail we're going to go with
All my work is done at Neon Dragon Tattoo in Cedar Rapids, IA. This one is going to be done by the incredible Andrew Douglas since his specialties are traditional Japanese style and extremely brightly colored Anime, he's going to combine both of those traits for me on this one
I believe my friend has a piece from him, it's a koi/bonsai piece I love that it's very colorful and crisp.
You're in the Iowa city area aren't you?
Very likely then, Andrew does a lot of Koi that are incredibly colorful, but he's excited to do something a bit different. I basically gave him full creative control with just a few guidelines.
And yes, I'm in Cedar Rapids. Where are you located since I assume it's in the region?
I'm in Cedar Rapids as well. I split time at school In Cedar Rapids and working on our property between west branch and Tipton.
Oh wow, small world. What school? On a similar note my GF and I stayed at a relatives apt in Denver last year and then recently I discovered that her roommate has a brother in Des Moines that builds monster tanks, which will come in handy for me when I move into a new house in a few months.
