I found a little magnetic scraper for nano tanks I think I may use that. I use Otos for everything. I even take one out of my main tank and throw it in my garter snakes pond while he's sleeping off his fishie snacks to clean the algae. The filter will most likely be shaped like a overflow in a big tank but have multiple levels in it then an opening at the bottom where the cleaned water is pushed out. So water comes in through meshed openings at the top falls through a filter pad, some carbon, some bio media and then the bottom level has a curculation pump to push that water that just tumbled down up a little pipe to a mini spray bar or just go straight out the bottom of the filter. So gravity takes the water down and through the cleaning mediums then a pump pushes it out. It is pretty much the simplest sump ever, but built into the tank
