You are being quite rude and snappy for somebody who asked for help and is being given great advice by people who are veterans in fish keeping.
You had no heater or thermometer so the unsuitable temperature isn't a surprise, this may have been having the largest impact on your Oscars behaviour.
You need to regularly check your water parameters, including ammonia, nitrites and nitrates and keep them as low as possible, Oscars are very messy fish. You will also need to make sure you have adequate filtration, nitrites and ammonia should be 0.
Your tank size isn't appropriate for the fish you are keeping, you will soon need to upgrade, Oscars are very fast growing.
I suggest in the future that you research and understand the needs of a pet before you decide to keep it.
I completely agree with you, theres absolutely no need to be rude to people over the internet that are only trying to help you.
After reading this entire thread, post by post, I'v come to the point where I couldn't careless how dirty you water is, how big your tank is, or how rediculously cold the water inside said tank is. Please, for the sake of the fish just take the back to the store you bought them from, whilst they baby sit them for you, you should either do a little more reasearch or politly answer questions and be grateful for any advice you get. I know that two wrongs don't make a right, and that what i just said could be perceived as rude but I realy don't think the lovely people of MFK mind that much.
I'll leave you with some advice because I'm above this.
- up your temps to 28c - 30c, remember where this fish native.
- Test your water, you should have a 0ppm for ammonia and nitrite, and no more than 10ppm of nitrate, not only will it stunt your fishes growth but it will also increase the chance of illness.
- STOP FEEDING "feeders", theres absolutely no need to do so, there nutritional value is poor incomparison to nearly all pellet foods.
- change atleast 20% of the water weekly using water declorants.
