Second: Keep the temperature at 79*~83*
Third: The HP gotta be at 7.0 or 7.5. hp?Arowanas actually do better in low pH (6.0+), but pH doesn't really matter as long as it's stable
Fourth: Arowanas hate Air Bubbles! Also a lie...
Fifth: At night please turn off the light because they need to ""SLEEP"" The light just make them Tired.
Sixth: Don't fed to many Comets or any life food to arowanas because the life food bring a lot of bacterias. Not bacteria directly, no more than a tank mate would, they just bring diseases/parasites.
Seventh: They need to have tank mates. LOL, where did you hear this? If anything they do better w/o tankmates to spook them.
This is all the information I got . I been raising the arowanas for 15 years

I suggest you get a night light and then see if he continues this. I was having a similar issue with my Aro because his Knifefish tank mate would sneak up on him from behind and spook him. I realize your Aro is alone but a simple nightlight is worth a shotUnattended Fish;4096597; said:For some reason during the night when lights are off and its pitch black it seems to just freak out. So i wake up and look to see whats going on and just see it breathing alittle faster. I'm like WTF nothing in the tank with um and no flashing lights to freak it what could be making it do that?
