I'll stop and get some but how fast does fin rot progress cause it came out of nowhere and got worse pretty fast it looks like his anal fins are streamers

ya fin rot happens fast because of the bacteria caused by poor water quality, are the fins pale and have you used feeders recently?

Before adding melafix, check your water quality and post the results

No my fish have never seen live food and the water should be good the tanks been up and running with fish in it for atleast 6 months but I'll check it and the aros the only one with it is that normal for only one fish to get it

no its not normal because when i had fin rot on my asian arowana, the bacteria of fin rot spread to all of my other arowanas in a day. Maybe some of your fish has immunity to the bacteria. I would do a huge water change if i were you. I hope your arowana survives. If you have an extra tank to use as a quarantine, use it so the fin rot bacteria doesn't infect others

My water is at ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 I'm also about to do a 50% water change and probably move him to his own tank. And is it possible that he brought the bacteria with him from the store?

That suck what happened with your aro I hope they all lived? And I guess they all do except him or he's just getting pick on really bad

ya probably got it from your lfs. Idk if they are still alive, gave them all 17 red tail and golden arowanas to my friends because i moved away from the Philippines. I had them all in a 900 gallon tank but ya just memories of my fish when i was only 14.

Right here is your problem...Your test kit is faulty or your not doing the tests correctly.

In the home aquaria, nitrates are almost never 0. Of course there are exceptions...
