I guess its internal parasite.
They turn dark and have difficulty breathing, also produce white long string-like poop.

A few of them have been producing long stringy poo.

Will have a look for it now.

Do you reckon it will pay me getting some parasite treatment?

I may take the texas to my LFS aswell so they can take a look at him.

I've not seen that before either. Although I know enough to know your LFS isn't going to be of much help. I can't see the white cotton stuff you were talking about but it really does sound a lot like columnaris just hearing that. It's always possible the partially colored face is some sort of stress reaction, possibly? And not neccessarily related to the other problem. Look up columnaris. It's like a cotton fungas that grows on fish, real common in goldifish & Koi. Eventually does kill them but takes a long time. I don't know of a treatment that works but it seems Lupin might.
Lupin? Where are you? We need you.

Hiya mate,

It isn't cotton like it is like whitey red sores there are 3 of them down the fish's flank.

I would treat with salt and hopefully someone who knows how to treat it can chime in. Have you posted this is the disease section?

well i took him to my lfs today and seen the fella who i know, knows his stuff, he had a look at him and the texas has tumours down his flank, the black on his face he did tell me about but cant remember the name for it now. So he kept the fish and will dispose of it humanly.
