I would treat with salt and hopefully someone who knows how to treat it can chime in. Have you posted this is the disease section?

well i took him to my lfs today and seen the fella who i know, knows his stuff, he had a look at him and the texas has tumours down his flank, the black on his face he did tell me about but cant remember the name for it now. So he kept the fish and will dispose of it humanly.

How fast did the tumours expose themselves on your texas? Mine was over the course of 2 days.

Well I had the fish for about a week before one showed up but I thought it had taken a bang off another fish, so thought in time it would heal, over the next 2 months another 2 appeared and the face then turned black and he started heavily breathing. He was like that then for about 5 days before I took him today.

Id like to know what caused the black face, never seen it before..
Could the white spots etc have been septicemia?

He said that the white lumps were tumours and they were infected he said the black face is from the fish emreging (cant spell)
