I think my yellow lab is sick :(
He has a sunken belly, beat up fins and a few red spots on his body (I don't know if he hit the corner of a rock or something).
All of the other fish are fine. I don't have a test kit but lastime I checked it was fine.
He just stays near the top of the water in a corner of the tank.

Any idea on what disease this is?
I don't have a quaritine tank so should I put him down so that it doesn't spread to the others????

I will try and get a picture of him

After doing more research I have found that the sunken belly could be caused by parasites.
I have some of this AQUARI-SOL stuff it says effective for ick, Protozoan and Velvet

Should I treat my whole tank with this even thought the other fish don't show symptoms?
Also should I feed them during this?

I'll go to my lfs tomorrow to get some then, is there any specific brand that you would recommend?
Also I will definitely need some sort of medicine right? Is there any chance that it's not a disease and he just got beat up or is dying of old age?

Anyone????
Is there anything else I can do? Should I add some table salt into the tank or give him a salt bath?

Well, it could be old age - but do you have any idea how old the fish is? How long have you owned the fish and how big was it when you bought it?

As for aquari-sol not working, it has worked for me. I had a bout with columnaris and while I lost the fish affected it kept the rest of my tank disease free. Also, the fish that died was clear of all visible signs of columnaris for about 4-5 days, so it is very likely the disease did its damage before clearing up.

Anyway, if you could post a pic or two of the fish then people could help you identify the problem, which in turn will help people give recommendations for medicine.

Well I bought him from a guy and he said he was about 5-6 years old, I have had him for a month. However he does have "black" on his face which I have heard comes with old age.

I will try and catch him so I can get a good pic

I have used aquari-sol before and it worked fine, but apparently it does not work for internal parasites. I did put some in the tank though because it's better than nothing.
