You may be suffering from the lack of challenge syndrome.

You got where you wanted, in terms of fish ( been there, seen that ), eventually without much effort. There are no oddballs you cannot have ( specially where you live and with the connections you have )

My advice? Freeze fish buying. Let what you now have stay as it is. Forget upgrades and finding that extra fish.

Throw some food in the tank.

If possible ( i am aware its not the best moment ) cut back on those wc's, and let it ride.

You got the disease. Do not fight it.

As people in my country say, sit down, relax, and wait 'till the crisis is over.

I am sorry for your loss of the gar.... but give it time before you make decisions... some days are just bad days...

Just got my new tank and some amazing rare oddballs but the other day a screw just turned and I felt completely differently about having all this money in these fish. I am going to throw it around for awhile before I start a fire sale but the last few days just been awkward. And then yesterday a cuban gar managed to jump out of the tank and that really threw me for a loop. Just kinda venting here

Your not alone bro. I think about it everyday...LOL

:( But I just enjoy my PBASS so much. I think it's important to really find a specie in the hobby that you can truly enjoy. For me it's PBASS. Just so easy for me to care for. Back when I had to have everything that freakin was available I was waisting more money on buying something just to sell it less when it wouldn't work out.

Also had to worry about if it will get along with others and have to stress about coming home to a dead fish... a dead fish that cost in the hundreds =-( I have a freezer full =-(

I'm actually selling most of my other fish just so that i can concentrate on my pbass. Even with my PBASS I'm thinking about cutting back. I'm passed the phase of the hobby where I have to have everything. Now it's time to just sit back and enjoy.

I'm selling my Pacman's, Bicuda, Perch, etc...

So true on your statement above. That was my problem until I saw the light...;) in addition the hole in my wallet on buying all these fish...LOL

Why can't we be happy with a Goldfish in bowl =-(

try to keep the fish you have and not be worried about buying every new thing that comes along...........remember Monsterfish KEEPING, not Monsterfish BUYING, the joy is in keeping fish, not always aquiring new ones.

Some of us are :) sort of. I'm completely happy with my clown loaches. I can sit there for hours just watching them....I still can't manage to take a good picture of the buggers, but fun to watch none the less.

Like Miguel & R1 said, find what makes you happy and stick with it!!!!

Good luck Bro,
Steve
