My rays love to play on the bubbler discs in the tank but also like to rip them off about every 45 days. I have been siliconing the discs to big pieces of slate so the rays can't drag the discs around. The problem I run into is the silicone doesn't seem to be strong enough and the rays rip the discs off at least every 1 1/2 months. Anything that is tank safe to better stick these discs to the pieces of slate? Elastics don't work either!! The discs have to be siliconed to something heavy other wise the rays will just drag the whole thing around. They are strong enough to move heavy rocks around with ease!

LOL...good luck.
I have noticed that some people simply hang a bubble ball in the back two corners of the tank. Dosent look too bad.

When I leave the discs hanging after they rip them off they just grab the disc and bang it against the glass and try to rip them from the hose! LOl, They are just like kids#$#@%

If you are running a sump, have you thought about putting them in there?

Yeah I could do that but they look like they are having fun on the discs when they are secured in place. I would hate to take away their toys. LOL I would just like a way to secure them more so they don't remove them from the toy room!

You may want to look at water safe liliput people use it in marines for securing rocks together, once mixed it goes so hard you can drill it or sand it!

You might also be able to use the plastic bolts from car number plates if you can drill the disc without damage.
