yup give it a try and see if your store has it, remember home depot's are privetly owned, what mine has yours might not and vice versa... same goes for the website...

Go with Dr Joe. Take many thoughts into action. Also Zach, ask your lfs how THEY buiuld thier tanks. ie, silicone used.
lol, they probably just use the perfecto or all glass stuff.
In my bad experience lfs guys arnt of muck use when it comes to asking them something beyond how much for this *point*... sorry did that sound a bit bitter?, well my lfs guys are asses, i asked them about there sump setup and they showed me a ehime?, well not what i asked...
sorry back on track, I'll check out my home depot again and see if what i saw was realy the 1200 or something else, but i could sware that was it, worst comes to worst and you cant find it online, I'll send you a pack...

lol, yah i belive the lfs guy, im sure hes built thousands of huge tanks with it(in his sleep). some people that work at a lfs just work there, you need to find a guy that lives it... its like going to any store, like home depot's electrical section, do you ask the 20 year old that works after school or the 80 yearold about wireing... i guess that realy depends on the answer of either, the 80 year old migh have just pooped his pants where the 20 yearold is in his 3rd year electrical apprenticeship... some people just bull****e there way through life and others make mistakes and learn from them. im sure that the perfecto stuff might work for a tank your size but if the tube says that its for small tanks then you sould maybe use something else, i have used the all glass stuff on my 90(as well as 2 smaller tanks and fixing one other 120) and its working like a charm, 4 years going on 34... but i also used the GE I on my buddies 150(and one other 20), and like was mentioned it looks, smells, speads, dries and holds the same as the allglass, its the same product.

Well i went to home depot today and took a look at the silicone section and they didnt have ge 1200
so i went over to lowes and was looking around and i found there GE I and GE II silicones and they had both kinds of GE II there they had GE II windows and door and they had GE II window and door with BIO SEAL so i just said oh well and got the 4 pack of GE I for exactly $15 do u think this will be ok for my 78"x24x18??? im a little scared lol my room would be flooooded and my walls will be all crapp

hay look at the bright side it says satisfaction garanteed on the tube so if you flood your room, send them a bill for new italian marbal floors and solid gold walls...,you know for the damage...
