well a piece of glass would cost alot of money and i already have a piece of plywood to use, the galss would have to be 7 feet by 3.3 feet so don't think i can afford to go that route, could i use a pond liner on the bottom and glue it to the galss around the edges of the bottom???

no reason ply woulnt work....put the silicone seal so it gets compreesed by the weight of the water between the ply and the bottom of the tank

also allow ample curing time for the silicone ( about 1/8 inch per day)
