Now that is amazing!

I was quite surprised as well. Sadly, the gar appeared to have been stuck on the hook for a day or too, so he looked and acted pretty warn out. However, i freed him and i think he recovered :) I am just glad i snagged him then, and not a day or two later, as he would have probably been dead, which wouldnt have been good :(

i cougth a big ass 10pound pollack in norway,it was actually hooked in his back,so it was a hell of a fight.
3weeks ago i was nightfishing on camping,i got a hook baited with worms.
but i throwed my line struck on the other side of the water i am for a 100% sure my hook was on shore and not in the water.
i decided to go sleeping and i left my line the way it was.
it rained the hole night.
the next morning my line was changed from direction, and it wasn't struck anymore in the tree, when i reeled in i feeled a fish,it was a 20' eel.
never caugth a fish on land before:headbang2

your sig scares me...

any way, while fishing for striper, i had gotten a hit, but was not sucessful in getting the hook set in the fish's mouth. i didnt know it took my hook. about 2 seconds later the captain pulled up a fish and needless to say it was the eel bandit who stole my hook. we got back the hook the weight and the eel!

i have caught a soft sell turtle with 3 small hooks in its mouth and ive had a lure drift up to my house after i lost it 6 months or so ago

i have caught numerous chinook salmon while flyfishing with flies stuck in their backs cuz they were big and the peoples leaders were to weak and one time i was flyfishing and i had a big chinook on the line then he took off and snapped the like and then 5min later i catch it up stream and got my fly back

5 lbs tops...

no not 5lbs 10pound,he was 32inch,it's only a bad pic,as you cou'd see it's raining there was incoming ligthning,so we are starting to quit when de fish bites, but it isnt a good idea to be on the middle of the sea when there is incoming ligthning,so we measured him and throwed him back.
i woudn't ly to my mfk bro's:)
