Yep do that. What is he temps, again, in celsius please?

Been to 3 LFS today looking for hikari, with no joy, bought some carnivore pellets and he's not interested, so I've order some hikari on the net. I'll keep you updated.

hikari is a great food. i use that and some high protien pellets i got from a pond pellet source. my pellets are a 45% protien catfish pellet. i also recomend the seafood. verioty is never a bad thing. the more they have for options the better they will be. a aro will fast, but i have found with the mix of foods they dont fast with my experience as much. so fish will only take some foods and will never take others. in the end try all amd feed your aro what it wants. that way it can be healthy and you wont waste money.

i have a lng that wont take anything but pellets and live. i am working with some aros right now that only want fd bloodworms.

The filter is reading 27.4c but it's not that I've just put my spare pond thermometer in, the old fashioned mercury reading is 25.2-4

Hikari is a great food, it's all I will feed my koi but it's bloody expensive and hard to come by.

He is getting back to his old ways, when ever the pleco comes out of it's hidey hole in the corner he swims around and follows it everywhere. Done a decent water change today and moved a couple of bits around and the pleco has started to explore, it's quite entertaining to watch the aro follow it around, but the aro still won't feed. I even (and don't shout) tried a muscle but no interest...

Up the temps to 30 C. Put its metabolism on a higher rate

ill try to find what pellets i got. it was $80 for 50lbs or 60lbs shipped to my house. much cheaper and high protien floating pellets.

after doing some looking around i believe it was aquafarmsfishfood. i was mixing up the protien % with their fry/juvi food. that is 55% and the one i got was the floating pellet at 40%.

Temp rising now 28c, still not eating no Hikari yet...

And how is it otherwise acting? More lively?

Acting hungry, and seems 'playful'?

you see?...:)

you see?...:)

I do and the weird thing is the pleco that lives with him after spending about a year sat in the corner, (happy but dull to the eye), has started swimming around like a kid in a pool. It's almost hilarious watch the aro swim around with it, it has no idea what to make of it. He swims over it, under it behind it, just looking confused. The is no aggression in it, they just seem to be playing.

Back on to the food, still no hikari has arrived, a total pain to get hold in this country. My koi only get hikari, and it took a while to find someone that I can get it from regularly, I sound like a drug user ;-) The other pellets have been going in everyday in very small doses and I was sure he mouthed one yesterday, I turned around today to see him swallowing something so I guess it was the few pellets I put in. Hopefully the hikari will be here tomorrow.
