silver aro colors ??????????

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think that the color has to do with the sex of the fish. Had two aros at one time in the same tank one was pink or red i guess and i also had one that had a blueish color to it. The one i had that was pink is the one at the national aquarium in baltimore (thinking that it was female) because it didnt kill the blue male that was with it they were the same size.

My guy also has quite a lot of red in the scales.

My siler has grow out of his red...but the new on i got has quite a bit of red on it...nothing like yours tho...maybe its just the diet?

OK, I'm having techincal diffculty, but if you look at the pics of the Aro in the Fundraiser that Ethnics got from me, look at his baby pic I posted in that thread. He held that color. The pics showing him grown up don't show the red because I had the wrong filter on my lens when I took the pic. He kept his brilliant red and finnage even as he grew. So to answer your question, yes, all of my Aro's have been red, this one the most. I feed live food and Hikari carnivore which is a color enhancer as well.
