silver aro dead after 5 days.......:(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I believe what Stonedfish is saying is; that, since it looks like synapse989 had the arow shipped in that he did the right thing by pciking up his fish and having it die in his tank as he probably paid to have it shipped to the lfs.

Yes your no Synapse989?

.. Am I off the rail Stonedfish or is this what you were implying?

Also Stoned. I personally would pay three times what the lfs did to know that the fish made it a month :)

there's actually a crapload of guppies in the tank.. they're breeding too so I know the water can't be too crappy.. unless guppies can breed in sewage...

what about lighting? do aros like it dark or bright?

actually I just ordered the fish.. paid for it when I got it.. it was only $20.. but that's not the point really.. the thing died and I didn't buy it to kill it. It was swimming around and stuff... perhaps it just wasn't eating because I had the light on too much

I just don't know. ...maybe some a-hole stopped over and reached in and pulled it out of the water for long enough for it to die.. WHO KNOWS.

by the way... Ph 6.8 and 78F in the tank.. been that way for a while. ..which is what I meant by "roughly neutral" ..because it varies here and there by a point or two.

what you can do is have bright light and buy some artificial lilly pads to provide some cover and shade.

actually I have a real water lily in the tank..

so they do prefer dimly lit over brightly?
