Silver Aro lower jaw

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
leave her be. you will gain nothing by opening and inspecting the jaw. just hope she will get around. as bderick said keep the water clean

good luck

If i'm honest I was reluctant to do anything, ive just never seen a jaw look like that before. Plus i'm off to Mexico next Monday for 2 weeks, and the next door neighbour is doing the feeding for me. I dont want to be complicating things for him as he knows nothing about fishkeeping, he just pops the whitebait in the tank for me.
I dont want the fish to die while im away and him having to start netting it out of the tank etc....

If you can provide this info, it will help a lot.
Ammonia ?
Nitrite ?
Nitrate?
Ph ?

Really...how?

That's silly, my Asian hits the lid every now and again. It's in hunting mode and thinks there is something there, so it jumps.

it was ment as a funny;)...thus the popcorn:popcorn:

I would tend to agree that it won't be a case of water params as there are other rays and aro in the tank with no problems and this aro has had this jaw thing fir quite some time but I only took notice when I noticed when he was going for food his mouth wasn't opening thus ended up just nudgeing food around the tank.
But anyway I will test water tonight and report the results, hey you never know I guess.
