SILVER AROW NOT EATING

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
how big is your aro? that's alot of money.....was there a reason you had to put in money along with the jardini? usually the jardinis are worth more, at least here in the states

Thanks for the advice everyone. I will just wait and keep checking the water quality and see how it goes. I will also try Krill as suggested. I read many posts, however I still panic because i like the fish so much!

Davey12345 - Jardinis are the cheapest arows in Australia. Normally costing AUD$85 upwards. Silvers generally cost $500-$600 in the stores, or about $350 if you buy privately.

My silver did same thing what i did was i took one of the tubes out of the lamp fixture so half of my tank was dark and the other half lit added some floating plants.spent alot hours with em so he will get use to you i even got em to eat out of my hands couple days later.I used freeze dried krill.

I've actually have turned the lights off and place floating fake plants. I like your idea of spending time with the fish so he can get used to you.

Unfortunately I get home late from work everyday so I dont have that luxury! I actually check out MFK during my lunch break. I will be buying krill tommorrow being a weekend - people seem to recommend it.

put in a feeder fish (which is too big for the silver to eat) inside the same tank and feed both pellets...the silver will copy the feeder fish wen he/she gets hungry enuf...dw a healthy fish will NEVER starve to death...it will adapt. mine learnt in 2 days :)

might want to try frozen krill, market shrimp chopped up while he's still small, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen bloodworms.. real meat, just not alive..

as you can probably tell i'm not a big fan of processed commercial foods.. you have no control over the ingredients and they are not what fish are designed to eat..

Thats crazy, but to each his own. Quality pellets are the best thing to feed the arowana. Do you only feed your dog the same way, real meat?
