SILVER AROW NOT EATING

I am a believer of pellets as a staple food - but the good news is his is eating now. Took him 7 days. very proud of him.

Great news! Told ya...mine did the same thing...7 days. Quite a relief isn't it?

Thats crazy, but to each his own. Quality pellets are the best thing to feed the arowana. Do you only feed your dog the same way, real meat?

yes.. i only feed my dogs meat, organs and raw bones.. as they were designed to eat by nature.

All Dog foods are not created equal.
There are actually several commercial dog foods out there that are very good.
And on the other side of the fence, if you prepare your meals for your dog, you should supplement with vitamins.
PS You have a beautiful looking dog there.

yeah i bought a silver arowana baby from jackspets and its not eating either someone tell me what to do??

Yes - it is a BIG relief once he starts eating!

Ethan - Best to ask the shop you brought the fish what they fed it. My LFS store fed it Arowana sticks and thats the only food it eats now after 7 days and be patience (if though I wasnt - =P).

Also check water quality & temp & provide good areation.
Leave the light off for the time being and provide hiding places.
Make sure the arowana is the most dominant fish in the tank.

And try Krill (what people recommend)
