Silver arowana jumped out of tank over night

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Sorry man... It has happened to me a few times also... Now all my tanks are fully covered and weighed down or velcro strapped tight. Every nook and cranny.

I did the same put her in freezer. Wife is like wtf but oh well cant just throw it in the garbage.
My pops has a queen angel saltwater fish in his freezer ziplocked in his basement freezer. I went in there one time to get something for my mother and I almost freaked out was taken back lol

:C always sucks when it happens. Ive had mine jump out on me once before but I was standing there with the lid open putting new plants in when he made the leap of ill gotten fate. Gus was a right jerk about not wanting back in the tank too. To save her you can make a cast of her with silicone and make a resin figure of her. You could also have a taxidermist work some magic on her.

Sorry to hear about this , but I do hope
that in time you will get another Aro they
are a great fish so majestic and beautiful .

Once again sorry for your loss .

Sorry for your loss,I know how you must feel.I've lost a nice sized bala shark due to it jumping out about a month or so ago and a two foot armatus a few years ago that got spooked and knocked the glass lid open as it launched out of the tank.

Thanks bro , we put alot of time and effort into them and then something stupid happens wich causes you to second guess yourself regarding staying in the hobby.

No worries. We all go through this. Especially aro keepers. Go out and get a new one. Take it as a learning experience. In Asian culture the arowana is said to be good luck and protection to a good owner. They will sacrifice themselves to protect you from harm. Maybe something bad was going to happen in your life and your aro "took one for the team". Just superstition. Lol. Makes you feel better when your aro dies.
