But del, no - most silvers come from farms in Florida or Asia. Every supplier I have asked got theirs captive bred from a farm, not imported wild.

ok i will read the sticky and i've seen that food in the store so i'll pick up some. how long shoudl i soak the food for. i feed my discus colorbits and i soak that for 5 min.shoudl i do the same for the sticks?

Maybe he likes to import wild slivers especially, but every supplier I've asked in UK/Europe says they are captive bred.

so crickets do I gut load them like i do for my lizard? and wait a day before feeding? what should I fed the crickets I read carrots but what else? Are crickets good for every other day feedings?

Potato for water, change it every day, don't crush the crickets, yes crush up hikari bed the crickets in oatmeal and then in a day or less they're ready to be fed to your aro. Mine is crazy over Hikari Crickets and he's a fingerling. He prefeers it to anything, even fresh prawn.

nearly every silver comes from the wild

dont starve it just because, offer small amounts of food, for a good starter food try these. Soak them first to soften them up, makes eating easier. See if he will eat afew hours after you introduce him to the tank.

again read the sticky i posted, memorize every word from it
