I made velcro strips that went from the top of the lid to the rim of the tank...The strips were about 5" long, and they worked really well....I think the middle lid was just "worn" out...we fed him from the center lid, so I can see how it got a little worn out....But thats pretty much it! Nothing fancy...lol...They can knock the lid open at about a foot, we had a silver thay was only that big and it was able to jump...Thats what prompted me to make the velcro tabs...

Jen ;)

I read a story online about a arowana susposedly close to 5' eating a cat. He said the guy kept it in a pool and once his cat went up to get a drink and BAM! The arow jumped and took the cat back in with it and ate it. No idea if it is true, if i can ever find where i read it ill post on here.

jesus del, what kind of proof is that? I was expecting a photo of a 5 foot silver or an offical record of the biggest silver :D

The biggest silver recorded is just over 4 foot, and the biggest I have seen photos of are reportedly around 4 foot.

Silvers do not get to 5 foot, if they do show me a photo or an official record.
