silver attacked

i just got a silver the other day and just today it was attacked by one of my other fish. it is just a little one still about 4" - 6" . its back tail was shredded pretty good, i was wondering how long if at all would it take to heal and possibly grow back?

Keep it clean pristine water and they can heal pretty quickly. Did you separate it? What was it attacked by?

Mine lost almost it´s whole tail, it growd out in 3 weeks

wow...thats bad looking.

i suggest QT'ing it to help her gain strength and heal fast. open wounds in unprestine water could cause mass infection.

that´s bad, looks like half the fish is gone, maybe put it to sleep?

Yea, it looks like 1/4 of it's tail is gone.
Plus it's muscle.

luckily her ass is still there, i don't think she would live if she lost the backdoor btw who was the culprit?

florida gar i believe, its was eyeing her up but that was that then 3 days later boom! it seems fine but only time will tell
