but a year and a half? seriously? if that were the case, wouldnt all freshwater acclimated fish die in that time span?
and its a big difference with the bb grouper considering its a saltwater fish, not brackish. silver dats are found in fresh water as well as brackish.

and no not all freshwater acclimated fish would die in that lifespan since all fish are different. on a side note, mono's are found in both brackish and fresh, but i have yet to seen a full grown orange fin mono striving in freshwater conditions

well then wouldnt all AT in fresh water die in a year and a half if that were the case?
cause i know people who have kept them quite a bit longer then that.
fresh water was not the killer of your AT. sorry. would be nice to know what it was though. sorry for your loss

Datnoids are now eating pieces of shrimp, squid and scallop.. I have not gave these guys any feeders yet.. They are also eating baby night crawlers. Basically any food that my Arowana misses they take.
