Anybody have any experience housing a Silver Arowana with a bunch of silver dollars? say 8-10? I'm going to purchase a silver arowana before the end of the year, and was thinking about getting 8-10 silver dollars acclimated and starting to grow a bit for when I get my Silver arowana a month or two down the road. When I purchase the arowana it will be 7-8" long. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I also am aware Silver aro's can sometimes be skittish when housed by themselves, getting freaked out out easily and running into the tank and what not. I figured a nice school of silver dollars might keep the aro 'Relaxed' in a sense?

Everything will be all good.

That would work great and look awesome. Just keep in mind that silver dollars get 6". Everybody always forgets that.

Yeah, I'm aware they get that big! Nothing wrong with a reminder sometimes though. ;)

But I agree, I think with the silver dollars schooling around the tank together along with the silver Aro pacing back and fourth along the top of the water column it will look awesome! Thanks guys!

Throw in a Flagtail Prochilodus for good measure.

Here you go this is my group with my silver. The aro only messes with my large thinbar. Leaves all the other smaller ones alone. 14 silver dollars largest around 10" and smallest 3.5".

I have 6 and a silver scat with my aro. Great combo.
