Well how about someone trys it?

And lets us know the results.

yeah, noones tried it before so anything's possible. i dont think anyone can give real facts on any possibilities on this one. take it to the NEXT LEVEL and tan those silvers, its worth a try for trying's sake anywayz :headbang2

and nobody is forcing anyone's silver to get a tan

that idea is flawed

and barebottom tanks dont relect light

yes bare bottom tanks do reflect light

when my aro swims over a bare bit of the tank the rays have cleared the gravel off the aro lights up and glows from the reflection

well, i for one am open to any explainations....... if there are any

so have you tried tanning your silver or not? but i would guess it would just turn pure silver without any specles of pink and green...

I keep my silvers with lights on 24/7 and so far didnt see much intense colouration on them except they doesnt look so pale.

i expose mine to direct sun light everyday that i can and this is what it looks like...there just over a month old but...it isn't tanning with lights but...it is something in that respect...

oowwhh... i was wrong.... it still has the pink specles on the scales and fins... a friend of mine had his silver arrow aquarium in the garden, and it was pure silver not other colour at all...

alot depends on the diet...i know someone that feed some feeders but mainly turkey hotdogs and the aro is a pail yellowish cream at 15" and it is in a 55gal tank...this is a store owners fish...i he said it was for his personal collection but someone else said he wanted $100 for it...i feel bad for it every time i see it...i don't have $100 to save it and that is the biggest tank hes got in the store...
