You can keep compatible brackish fish with these guys.. no they have nothing to do with cichlids.. they are very easy to keep with other fish as long as the other fish are good with them..these guys are very good natured. I am going to be adding other fish to the tank as well but i need to go through alot of info myself to decide what others are best..

I was Asking if the other fish in those pics where african cichlids... I know the columbians are not!!! lol

I realize what your talking about.. that was an oscar with them.. .. no african cichlids were ever with these guys..that Oscar needed some salt for an injury..other then that they were alone except that they grew up from babies with Oscars..
