single cichlid 55

how about an a. robertsoni, they are rare, beautiful, and don't get too big
 
the males get good size but the females stay small i suppose you could keep a robertsoni in a 55 mabye with other fish if you didn't have a pair

robertstoni is a good choice,but i would like something with a little more color which is why i was thinking female festae.I never owned one,but from what i hear there colors are the best.

I had a 6'' carpinte alone in a 60 and he never did anything. It rarely swam around or ate and just would sit there. I then put in a 100g with a bunch of other cichlids and he is really active now... I just dont think that they do so well alone.
