Yo Guys,
Just wondering how many of us here actually keep a single species front tank?
I sold off my entire monster collection recently as I had to move out and so I found myself starting out again but this time I kinda fell for the Frontosa :newbie: after seeing a monster male for sale in one of the farms here, I GOT ADDICTED

Since this is my first real experience in rearing them Fronts, I've decided to start of with the Burundi species..More cost effective for the moment, and also, foul ups wont be as painful to the wallet(knock on wood!)

I got about 4 x 1incher babies and 5x 2.5inchers the second round, supprisingly, they're getting along ok so far..They're currently held in a 2ft tank, I know I know(its way too small) but for the next month or two they should do just fine in there as I need to bring over and prepare the 5footer for them..

Will update pics asap, sharing of personal experience would be really appreciated, I've gone through all the sites for info, but nothing beats first hand experience :evil_lol:

well then, u need to have alot of patience...it sort of like takes forever to grow into monster size..

yeha beef heart really is effedtive and variety in diet. like try black worms, blood worms, lots of diffrent meaty food. it will help cover a broad specrtum of nutirents. and keep emacualte water condish. nitrates can stunt growth or so i have heard from my front lovig freinds.

My Frontosa loved shrimp sticks and Hikari pellets but will generally eat anything. That will be a good sized colony that should start producing alot of fry in a year or two. If I had the tankspace I would also do a frontosa colony tank. Good luck!
