Big tank means bigger cleaning products.

2 litre bottle wont give you the right suction power makes it even more difficult to clean the tank because it just mixes all the waste and debris into the water and mucks it up instead of sucking into down through the tube. I suggest a normal 20 oz soda bottle at the end of a garden hose, and just take your time and do it right once a month or so. couple it with the water change and you will save time there. and dont over feed your fish so the gravel wont muck up as fast.

I uses a contraption that is part hose, part PVC in 2in diameter and it works great. The trick is to have at least one valve. I used two on mine. One on the end, and one in the middle. This makes it way easier to prime it. I also have an additional length on the end that is equal to twice the depth of the tank, which allows me to prime and syphon down to the last few inches of the tank with out me having to climb in.
