upper jaw?
Lol forgot i ventured out of that section lol
Upper jaws are the smaller of the polys except for ornates, teugelsi, and weeksii
Lower jaws get bigger and more dinosaur like
upper jaw?
Well I mean he opened up using a ray as an example so no the extra width of a 40 gallon will not benefit a ray.Haha some people live saying "your tanks too small" even when it has nothing to do with the question lol
I'd go with the wider tank more turning room and would probably allow for better aquascaping.
I hate 55's. I guess for smaller fish thst would pace the front of the tank a 55 would be better but i dont like em.
As for fish i'd keep some smaller growing upper jaw polys in a 40b

why would the extra width NOT benefit a ray? I was always told Rays like wider tanks due to body shapeWell I mean he opened up using a ray as an example so no the extra width of a 40 gallon will not benefit a ray.
This started off with a 40 and 55 comparison with a stingray as an example which threw of this whole thread. A ray wouldn't really benefit from a 55 to a 40 breeder, if it's to big for 12" then is to big for 18". But if you were talking about 120 4x2x2 or 135 6x18x2 then there would be a benefit for the ray as it would suit it's needswhy would the extra width NOT benefit a ray? that's because you looked tooooooo much into the question likeThis started off with a 40 and 55 comparison with a stingray as an example which threw of this whole thread. How on earth did you manage that? I've been messing around withFrank Castle has me on his ignore list. I guess there is not really a point to me responding to this thread, but i think that a 40br would be better for a ray than a 55.
