I was hoping you'd still have some good ones based on your plans for them. I'm really glad to see the tiny sharks attached to the yoke. Congrats! You'll notice quite a bit of change in the next month.

I took this photo for you of a couple of mine upright for comparison before pitching my bad egg. One the left is the bad egg, and on the right is the good egg. You can see a tiny sliver on the top of the yoke on the right, which is the shark fetus.

Thanks for the pictures they are very helpful and I enjoy looking at them. In a earlier link you mentioned something about the marine breeding initiative. I checked out the site and found it very interesting. I also came across you journal and it was very informative. From you pictures my eggs seem like are less then a month old and I still have about 4 more months until they hatch.

I'm glad you found my pictures helpful as well as my journal. I didn't like that I moved to a different state during the breeding process, because I think it made the journal a little confusing as to what heppened to the tank info. Your eggs will probably hatch within four months, depending on temperature.

I will get good pictures in a few days, its been a busy week. One of the eggs died. I think I killed it during a water change. While filling the tank I noticed the new water was hitting the egg while getting pumped into the tank. There was also air bubbles caused by the water dropping in. The next day the egg was kind of white. I left it in for a few days and the egg was nasty. The other 5 look good.

Now when I out new water in the tank it goes into the display.

Hasn't been a good few days for me. I think I jinxed myself by ordering a 140 gallon tub for the pups. Today 4 more eggs expired. 5 eggs down only one left. I am not sure why they died. 0 ammonia , 0 nitrites and undetectable levels of nitrate. One reason why is think they might of died was of a bacteria medication. It was a Microbe lift herbal medication. When using it I turned my return pump off and only dosed my display tank at half dosage. I will then run my HOB filter which has carbon and my UV. After running the filtration will I start the return pump.

I figured something is up with my water. I put my damsels in the reef and disconnected my refugium. It is filled with boiling water now. Tomorrow my girlfriend is going to rinse the sand and clean the tank with water only. I am going to use all new water and rock from my friend tanks. If anything was killing the eggs in the old system it won't be in the new system.

This is the system I set up today. All new water which I mixed yesterday, rocks from my friends tank, heater and powerhead from the garage. I just realized the thermometer is from the old tank and I did wash it. Hopefully it doesn't have anything on it.

Oh no sorry to hear I hope your last one is ok

I hope the last one survives too. It's developing pretty quick. I can see its eyes not and it's fins are starting to develop. It reminds me of a flimsy bat wing made of string.

I just stop in at the petshop and I saw 2 brownbanded eggs, there was a pretty big size difference between the two. On the way out I saw a coral catshark eggs. The clan just got bigger. This egg seems like it is 3 weeks behind the other one.
