Slipknot too extreme? Opinions

Neil Peart is amazing!!!!!

well...

You're ripping them and you mention Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold in your likings...:screwy: I like Disturbed, but the dude leading has no business trying to "sing", though he attempts (and they have the massive talent to remake others' songs). Like I said, to each their own. As for the "go to college, you'll understand" stab.......riiiigght:ROFL:. There are too many rejects with as much knowledge as a 15 year old and no common sense that have college degrees. Good advice to throw into a discussion based on the opinion of individual ears, though.

1) I assumed we were all in the understanding this was about personal preference
2) I was speaking of a7x and disturbed in appreciating talent for bands that I actually don't like, not comparing to slipknot. I wasn't even speaking of the bands talent themselves as trying to add levity to the situation.
3) Marketing is about more than shirts, thank you for proving my point by the way. Marketing is about discerning the consumers wants and focusing your product (in this case a band) to gear towards these trends. The "stab" wasn't even focused at you, take a moment of zen.

Well, he's dead and he still makes more money per year than you will in a life time and still sells millions of records

How should I respond to this? I'll just say that I'm glad you reduced yourself to taking personal stabs at people. Musicians in today's day and age present themselves, and due to consumer choice, are open to criticism. I was criticizing. Sorry if I hurt your feelings.

You need talent to get a record label..

Are you just talking about the big 4? Major Music Label? Indie label? part of UMG? It's not hard to get on a label.

For those of you who offered me adversarial debate, thank you. That's why I posted in the first place. For those of you who degraded yourself to petty name calling, thanks anyways. I don't get my feelings hurt that easy.

i will never get tired of that vid,it is truely like watching a train wreck for me.
