Small canister recommendation

Should be able to put them in the pond boxes or something, if you wanted to avoid extra electrical stuff.

I thought of that but then recharging would be a hassle

Oh, definitely, submersible is much easier. I used a Tetra brand internal filter rated at 180gph on my 29 for a while. It was super easy to clean and did a great job keeping the water clean.

Just need t find one thats big enough to hold two of seachem bags...think its 500ml not the little ones

Not really. But maybe a little lol. I run purigen in ac110's but no longer want to use them.
You could just use the bottles they come in and attach an extremely low flow pump to them, may 10-30 gph. I already have 5 liters of it, and plan to buy another liter to kickstart the media I already have (I believe it comes with a small amount of dormant bacteria). 6 liters comes out little under 2 gallons of media in total, so I'll buy a 2 gal bucket and convert it to a filter. When I get around to it I'll make a thread and tag you.

Unlike other media, denitrate doesn't need to be recharged or replaced. It's a much more efficient system.

I thought it did need replacing.

How would you rechage the purigen and also keep it from blowing around the tank ?

I know one of seachem's medias is rechargeable, but forgot which one it is. I was referring to whichever one that was in the previous post.

Denitrate doesn't need to be replaced. It's a media that grows bacteria, just like bio balls do in a sump, or bio media does in a canister. The only difference it the way the media is made. It's extremely porous so the anaerobic bacteria can receive oxygen poor water.
