55 would be too small for a pair of green terrors. personally i’d say a minimum of 75 for 1
Highly recommend hujeta gars. Easy to get on pellets ime. Just be careful not to let it slam its snout into the glass when it gets spooked, but that rarely happens if you keep them in a big enough tank i.e 55 gallon. Can be kept singly or in schools. They are not aggressive whatsoever.
